Some reasons why the NDP climate plan fails.

The NDP would give provinces veto power over projects such as pipelines. So if a province wanted to move forward with pipelines within their jurisdiction, then the NDP would let them. This is clearly wrong.

There is a massive pipeline project moving forward in British Columbia and Jagmeet Singh (Leader of the NDP) has been asked several times whether he supports this project and he refuses to answer.

"Modelling from the B.C. government suggests that LNG Canada could add up to 3.45 megatonnes of carbon emissions to the atmosphere each year. In comparison, B.C.'s entire oil and natural gas industry produced 4.28 megatonnes in 2015."

The NDP don't want all new vehicles sold in Canada to be zero emissions until 2040 which is 20 years away. In addition, the average car can last over 11 years if maintained properly. This means that even if cars are no longer sold with gas engines by 2040, many will still be on the road past the year 2050 if the NDP have their way.
